This is a dish easily prepared and served in a group setting, or approximately 4 servings to keep for yourself.
- 1 1/4 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- 4 tbsp. Almond Flour
- 3 tbsp. Coconut Flour
- 1 large Egg
- 1 tsp. Italian Seasoning
- 4 oz. Ham
- 3.5 oz. Cheddar Cheese
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
1. Preheat your oven to 400F and in a microwave or toaster oven, melt your mozzarella cheese. About 1 minute in the microwave, and 10 second intervals afterward, or about 10 minutes in an oven, stirring occasionally.
2- Combine your almond and coconut flour in a mixing bowl, along with the seasonings salt, pepper and Italian blend seasonings
3- When the mozzarella is melted add it to the mixing bowl and work it into the mixture
4- After about a minute, when the mix has had time to cool down, add your egg and mix it all together.
5- once combined into a moist dough, transfer to the counter or a wax paper type surface
6- Roll the dough out with a rolling pin or your hands
7. Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut diagonal lines beginning from the edges of the dough to the center, leave a row of dough untouched about 4 inches wide.
8- Add ham and cheese slices alternating layers to the middle of the flattened dough and wrap sides up over the ham and cheese
9- Bake about 15-20 minutes until a golden brown
Ready to cool and serve!
